My story

I'm the son of Vietnamese parents who worked hard but couldn't show me how recruiting worked.

Over my own recruiting, I sent about 4,000 cold emails, had 174 coffee chats, and went through 19 first-round interviews. Nobody taught me the timeline, how to write an email that gets answered, or how to talk to a banker. I learned it by getting it wrong, then wrote down what worked. First Offer Academy is that system, built for every student, not just the ones who got into the right club.

My story

I'm the son of immigrants from Singapore and Japan. I started college thinking high grades and a degree would be enough to land a job in the career I wanted. I found out fast that they weren't.

Recruiting became a second major for me. I sent thousands of cold emails and had hundreds of coffee chats, in person and over Zoom. That added up to 11 superdays and 6 offers in finance, mostly through trial and error. Eventually I landed an investment banking internship and received a return offer after this past summer.

Looking back, what surprised me most was the gap between how recruiting actually works and what students are told. The real timeline, the unwritten rules, and the reps it takes are known to a few and missed by most students. First Offer Academy exists to close that gap, with a system built for every student, not just the ones who already know someone.
