What you're paying for, and what you'll see.
First Offer Academy is built for business students starting recruiting, in finance and accounting, with an outreach and interview system that works for any business role. You won't be in the sessions, so you deserve a clear picture of what your student does each week, what you'll get to see, and what we will and won't promise.
- A one-page progress report every two weeks
- The Week 8 family meeting, where your student presents their results
- After Week 12: a 20-minute weekly check-in and a mock every other week, until an offer or May 31, 2027
Twenty minutes with Tyler and Kenji to talk through your student's situation and whether the program fits.

What your student does every week
Each week also has a number to hit: emails sent, calls completed, stories recorded. Students log it in their tracker, and their coach checks it.
90-minute session
The Accountability & Pods scoreboard, one skill from the week's part, and live Interview Reps.
Weekly 60-minute 1:1
Part of Interview Reps: tracker review, the single biggest bottleneck fixed, and line-by-line edits on the work.
Pod of three
Part of Accountability & Pods: two classmates matched to your schedule who see your numbers every Sunday.

What you see
A progress report every two weeks
One page: your student's level on the Standard, their numbers (emails, calls, interviews), and what they're working on next. It goes only to the parent or guardian your student lists.
The Week 8 family meeting
Your student presents their results to you: every email, call, and interview on record, plus their Week 1 and Week 8 recorded introductions side by side.
Check-ins after Week 12
After Week 12, until your student receives an internship offer (paid or unpaid) or May 31, 2027, whichever comes first: a 20-minute weekly check-in and a mock interview every other week. To keep this support, the student keeps up the maintenance minimum of 100 outreach emails and 6–8 networking calls a week.
A call if things slip
If your student misses their weekly minimums two weeks in a row, we set up a call with your student and you to reset the plan.

What the student leaves with
These are the six parts every student works through. They describe the work, not an outcome: hiring decisions belong to employers.

What we don't promise
We don't promise an internship offer, a specific employer, or any particular outcome. Hiring decisions belong to employers, and anyone who promises an offer is promising something they can't control. We promise a fully executed search: the sessions, the 1:1s, feedback on every piece of work, and a documented record graded against a clear standard. And offer-or-refund: if your student hits every weekly minimum through May 31, 2027 and gets no internship offer, we refund your full tuition.
- An internship offer
- An internship at a specific company
- Any particular outcome or timeline
- A fully executed, documented search
- Offer-or-refund, if every weekly minimum is met

Questions parents ask
What if my student doesn't land an offer?
Check-ins and mocks continue through May 31, 2027. If they've met every weekly minimum and still have no offer, you get a full tuition refund. Terms: Any internship offer, paid or unpaid, counts, including one that's declined. Minimums must be met and logged every week (one makeup week allowed). Dropping, pausing, or missing minimums past the makeup week ends eligibility. Refund requests are due by June 15, 2027 and paid within 30 days.
Do you place students?
No. We coach students through every application, including Extern externships, and cover the Extern fee. The offer is earned by the student.
Is this right for my student?
It fits a student who will do the work every week: the outreach, the calls, the reps. It doesn't fit a student who wants it done for them, and it isn't a fix for a student who doesn't want to be there. It's built for business students starting recruiting, in finance and accounting; the outreach and interview system works for any business role. In Track Technicals, students pick one of two tracks: Finance or Accounting. First Offer Academy is for business students starting recruiting who are:
- Didn't get into the club: The recruiting help on campus sits inside selective clubs, and most freshmen don't get in.
- Don't know where to start: They know internships matter. Nobody has shown them what to do first, or in what order.
- Have no network in the field: No family contacts in finance or accounting, and no idea how to meet anyone who is.
- Sending applications and hearing nothing: Online applications go out. Nothing comes back, and there's no way to tell why.
- This does not require a target school, a 4.0, a finance background, or club membership.
My student is a freshman. Isn't this too early?
No. Many internship timelines start sophomore year. Freshman year is when a student builds the resume, the contacts, and the interview stories that get them there.
- For finance, accounting, and a growing share of tech and marketing roles, the students who land internships in sophomore and junior summer usually started building toward them in freshman year. Many find out how early it starts only after the first deadlines have passed.
- The most structured recruiting help on many campuses sits inside selective clubs. Students who don't get in are left to figure it out alone, at the same time as everyone else who didn't get in.
- Online advice is generic by design. It can't look at your student's resume, read their emails before they go out, or tell them what to fix after a mock interview. Feedback on real work, every week, is what changes the result of a search.
My student is shy. Can they still do the networking?
Yes. Networking here is a process, not a personality. It starts in writing, with emails their coach reviews, and every call follows a framework your student practices out loud in session and in the weekly 1:1 before the real thing.
What does my student commit to each week?
The weekly session is 90 minutes and the 1:1 is 60 minutes. Outreach on top of that: 3–5 hours a week, rising as outreach ramps up.
- Weeks 1–4: 25 outreach emails and 2 networking calls per week, follow-ups on schedule, every session and 1:1 attended, assignments in by Sunday 11:59 pm, scheduled mocks completed.
- Weeks 5–8: 50 outreach emails and 3 networking calls per week, follow-ups on schedule, every session and 1:1 attended, assignments in by Sunday 11:59 pm, scheduled mocks completed.
- Weeks 9–12: 75 outreach emails and 4–5 networking calls per week, follow-ups on schedule, weekly mock completed, applications logged.
- After Week 12: 100 outreach emails, follow-ups on schedule, 6–8 networking calls, a mock interview every other week, applications logged.
- One makeup week allowed.
- Show up: Attend the weekly session and the 1:1, and check in with the pod every Sunday.
- Two missed weeks in a row triggers a call: If a student misses their minimums two weeks in a row, we set up a call with the student and a parent to reset the plan together.
What does a typical week look like?
A group session, a 1:1, and a pod of three. Teaching is recorded and watched before each session. Live time is reps, teardowns, and questions — not lecture.
- The session: Scoreboard (0–15 min): Each student reads their numbers aloud: sent, replies, calls, level. No excuses, just numbers. Teardown (15–40 min): The recorded module is watched before the session. Live time goes to teardowns of real work and questions on it. Live reps (40–80 min): Drills in pairs or hot seat: emails rewritten live, mock calls, mock interviews. Commit (80–90 min): Each student states their exact deliverable and deadline for the week.
- The 1:1: Tracker review (0–15 min): Line by line: sends, replies, follow-ups due, calls booked. Biggest bottleneck (15–40 min): Fix the one thing slowing them down most (reply rate, call quality, stories, technicals). Work on the work (40–55 min): Edit live: resume bullets, emails, stories, "why" answers, or a mini-mock. Next 7 days (55–60 min): Exact commitments written into the tracker.
- Pod of three: Two classmates matched to your student's schedule, checking each other's numbers through the week.
- Sunday scoreboard: The tracker is updated by Sunday night. The numbers read aloud in session come from it.
- Finals week and holiday weeks run async: no session, but the minimums are still due.
- Two missed weekly minimums in a row triggers a call with the student and a parent.
- Parents get a one-page progress report every two weeks, plus the Week 8 family results meeting.
What do parents see during the program?
Through Accountability & Pods: a one-page progress report every two weeks, and a Week 8 family meeting where your student presents their results.
Who coaches the program?
Tyler Ho, the founder, leads the founding cohort. 10+ internships across finance, accounting, sales, and AI engineering. He is an incoming investment banking summer analyst. Guest professionals run the last graded mocks in Interview Reps.
Why learn from someone who just went through recruiting?
Because the timelines, emails, and interviews Tyler coaches are ones he ran himself, recently. 10+ internships across finance, accounting, sales, and AI engineering. He also has an incoming investment banking summer analyst offer. In college he led finance recruiting education and coached twelve pilot students: 12 of 12 landed an internship or offer.
Is the deposit refundable?
Your deposit is fully refundable through December 15, 2026. After that, it applies to tuition, and the remaining tuition is invoiced separately and due before Week 1. Withdraw before Week 3 for a prorated refund of unused weeks. No refunds after Week 3. If we cancel the cohort, every payment is refunded in full.
Is there financial aid?
Yes: one full-tuition scholarship seat per cohort, the First Offer Scholarship, for a student who has the drive but not the means. Applications close November 30, 2026.
Why pay when the career center is free?
Use it too. Career centers serve thousands of students. We work with your student every week: reviewing the resume, the emails, the stories, and the interviews, and holding them to a weekly number.
Can't my student just use ChatGPT for this?
AI is part of the system, not a replacement for it. In Week 2 every student sets up their own AI-assisted email automation, but AI drafts; your student personalizes and reads every email before it goes, and their coach reviews the emails in the weekly 1:1. AI can't take the networking call, tell your student's story, or sit the interview for them.
